How the Vault works.

How do offers work?

Open the piece, tap Make an Offer, and name your number. You'll sign in with a one-time email code so we can reply. We accept, counter or pass, usually the same day. Offers stay open for 48 hours.

Is there a minimum?

Offers start at 80% of the list price. Anything at or above the list price just checks out as a purchase.

How many offers can I make?

Up to 3 per piece. A counter from us doesn't count against you.

What happens when an offer is accepted?

The piece goes on hold for you and you get 48 hours to complete checkout at the agreed price. If the window closes unpaid, the hold is released and the piece goes back on sale.

Are offers binding?

Yes. An accepted offer is a deal at that price. You can withdraw an offer any time before we accept it.

Can someone buy a piece out from under my offer?

Yes, until an offer is accepted the listing stays live. If it sells, we'll email you right away and the offer is closed.

What if I start checkout and get distracted?

Starting checkout holds the piece for 20 minutes. After that it's released to the next collector.

Which payment methods do you take?

Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link at checkout, and bank transfer on orders over $10,000.

Do you charge sales tax?

Sales tax is applied where required by law.

Can I bundle several pieces?

Add them to your bag and check out together. Shipping is calculated on the whole order, so bundling usually saves. For offers on a bundle, make an offer on one piece and mention the others in the note.
